OSHA COVID-19 Healthcare ETS

• In June, OSHA issued an emergency temporary standard (ETS)

for COVID-19 for health care settings

• Fortunately, dental practices are largely exempt from the ETS

• ETS applies to hospital settings or facilities that provide care

for COVID-19 patients

• Exemption relies on screening for COVID-19 and denying entry

to individuals with suspected or confirmed COVID-19

• AGD filed comments in support of the ETS exemption and in

support of the ETS remaining temporary and flexible
