The embroideries that I
usually do on top of the
background, reflect the love
I’ve always had for the
intricate. I don’t plan them
out, I just begin and see
where it takes me, (though,

often, I seem to spend as
much time unpicking as I do
sewing it). I love the
feeling of thread and fabric
beneath my fingers and the
joy of bringing them
together. Textile groups on
Facebook and textile-related
Instagram contacts have
given a community which I can
access from my sofa, and the

ideas I see there are a
constant source of
inspiration.
