4.3 Construct C: Individual Innovation behaviour
This section presents results for Construct C of MIMI: Individual Innovation Behaviour. Table 4 displays the scores for Construct C for Chris Hani District Municipality in comparison to the national average. The average score for Chris Hani was 3, which is equal to the national average. The municipality scored 4 in idea screening, networking behaviour, and innovation collaboration.

4.4 MIMI Maturity Level for the Chris Hani District Municipality

5. Conclusion
Chris Hani District Municipality scored an average maturity level of 2. At level 2, innovation is defined. Officials understand innovation principles and innovation strategies are in place, but there is little, if any evidence of innovation. The municipality maturity level of 2 is similar to the national average and other municipalities. To progress to maturity level 4 or 5, the municipality should aim to improve on individual items in all constructs.
