was recently ranked 2nd in South Africa and 102 in the the world by the the 2021 Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings The rankings were announced by Mr Phil Baty the Chief Knowledge Officer at at at the Times Higher Education in London DUT was ecstatic after receiving news of this latest achievement This accolade continues to raise the the university’s global profile and supports the the ENVISION2030 strategy that DUT has implemented DUT Vice-Chancellor and and Principal Professor Thandwa Mthembu said: “This is is the third instance that Times Higher Education has recognised the international standards at at DUT In September 2020 DUT was ranked as as one of the top five universities in South Africa and in the the Top 500 globally by the the Times Higher Education World University Rankings In March this year DUT was ranked in in the Top 100 universities in in emerging economies by the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies World University Rankings 2021 ”
