 BWL'S NEW TEMPORARY NORMAL
On March 16, the BWL began implementing its work from home strategy, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by moving as many employees to work remotely as possible, including office workers, deploying field workers from their homes and placing many plant and field workers on paid standby. The BWL was ahead on this transition to protect the health and safety of our workforce, their families and our customers. Check out how some employees have adapted to their new office setting and their new, temporary normal.
    From Gamaliel Poplar:
I had to get a standing workstation and chair for my office, at home. My wife and kids now use the chair I got
last week. These changes,
and the additional monitor from I.T. made major positive differences, while working from home.
Though we go on walks and trips to parks (we don’t go
near play structures), nearly every day, soccer, catch with the football, or Lacrosse equipment, it was not cutting it for them. So we have our kids taking online learning courses. We went the following route:
We got a Painted Lady Butterfly kit from www.nature-gifts. com/shop/grow-butterflies/ caterpillar-butterfly-kit/.
Our kids are documenting the stages of growth, each day, in their science journal.
We signed our oldest two children up at the "Time 4 Learning" website. It includes: - Math
- Language
- Science
- Social Studies
for Kindergarten to 12th grade.

We also found for our pre-K
to 2nd grade children, "ABC mouse". Each of our kids did ABC mouse, even though they also attended school. It is great; but worked best when done with us to help them get the hang of it and encourage positive reinforcement, for the 1st month or two. Then, they were good to go on their own.
