Mora relies on his cultural hybridity (as a Mexican-
American) to discuss economic, social, and cultural life
in the US-Mexico border. This prints focuses on animals,
because of their presence in childhood.

Specifically, the rooster evokes confidence, courage, and
perseverance, as are Luchadores (wrestlers), who also
stand in for Mexican pride and identity. Both fight and
tackle life, making them heroes in times of adversity.
