        Dan: Just this one.

        Agent: OK, please place your bag on the scale.
        Dan: I have a stopover in Tokyo– do I need to pick up my luggage there?

        Agent: No, it’ll go straight through to Osaka. Here are your boarding passes –

        your flight leaves from gate 15A and it’ll begin boarding at 3:20. Your seat
        number is 26E.

        Dan: Thanks.


        At the restaurant

        Waitress: Welcome! How many people?

        Dan: Two people.
        Waitress: This way, please.

        Dan: Excuse me. Can I have a menu?

        Waitress: Yes, please wait a moment. Waitress: Here you are.
        Dan: Thanks.

        Waitress: Have you decided?

        Dan: I will have assorted sushi and sashimi.
        Hiroko: I will have a soba.

        Waitress: One assorted sushi, sashimi and one soba, isn't it?

        Would you like anything to drink?
        Dan: A bottle of beer, please.

        Hiroko: I will have beer, too.

        Waitress: Certainly. Anything else?
        Dan: No thanks.
