Out With the Old, In With the New:
Revamping The Academy
As the new school year began, many of us noticed the changes around the building. Some alterations are more noticeable than others; for Instance, new lockers were put In the hallways to replace the old ones that opened even when you didn’t put in the combination. As students arrived on Orientation Day, the first thing we thought was “I hope I don't get a bottom locker." I know I thought about thatl The Parents Club donated money to purchase new verti cal blinds in classrooms. As Brother Michael said on Orientation Day, we can now watch movies in class without the fear of blinds falling on our heads. The Allbrandi Stadium all-weather track was resurfaced. Some of you may not have
noticed this, but the track team sure appreciates it! Also benefiting the ath letic teams was the acquisition of a new van. Some of the boys and girls bath rooms have also been remodeled. In front of school, a new bench and tree have been dedicated to Megan Patterson, Class of '97. Another monu ment is dedicated to Lieutenant John Nolan, Class of ’87. Display cases have been Installed in the hallways to show the achievements of the CBA student body and the chapel has a new roof. These are some of the various renova tions around the building that have helped to make our school a better place and to prepare us for the new millenlum.
