 What a Week!
Spirit suffused the halls of CBA for one of the most anticipated weeks H of the fall — Homecoming Week. We started the week off with Pajama
Day. Throughout the week each grade competed against each other by
decorating the halls with purple and gold. The seniors won this contest, m earning a free dress down day. Throughout the week, students would spend their lunchtime bidding on a senior who would serve them for the day. The students with the highest bids received a servant for the day; a day of leisure to say the least. The annual pie-in-the-face was certainly not forgotten. This year Mr. Sirianni was the privileged teacher to receive the

pie in his face.
The pep rally demonstrated the true fanaticism of the student body. If
the cheerleading and screaming contests between grades weren’t enough
to get everyone riled up, the obstacle course was! The tradition of choosing m a Homecoming Court was also kept alive. Dave Paulus and Elizabeth Ann Tooley were this years honored king and queen. All the pre-game festivities culminated in the renewed rivalry between CBA and Jamesville-Dewitt I football teams who had not played since 1989. A crowd of nearly 1500
people watched as the two teams battled for the bragging rights of Dewitt. CBA won these rights with a triumph of 47 to 22. Senior H.T. Williams electrified the crowd with an eighty-five yard kick off return to open the scoring for the Brothers. Fellow seniors Courtney LaBarge, Karl Berger, Mike Marciano, John Galvin, and Tony Garafolo continually opened vast holes in the Red Rams defense. These allowed large gains by Trevor White, Kevin Petrie, Dave Paulus, and Mike Palladino. When the final horn sounded the Brothers prevailed. H.T. Williams and Trevor White were named co-MVP’s for the game, and for the fifth consecutive season the Homecoming Dance doubled as a victory celebration.
