■ ^^udent Life can be defined in many different ways since it encompases such a wide range of activities. Generally, when a school-based function defines the lives of students, they are seen merely as that... students. They picture prim and properteenagers, pressed in white and light blue, walking through crowded hallways, clutching textbooks and dodging anyone smaller than themselves. So what about the more leisurely side of CBA’s student body? Yes, it is true that a considerable amount of time is spent straining reddened eyes at two in the morning because tomorrow’s government test was forgotten, but there is more to everyone than that.
It is appealing to join clubs and extracurricular organizations. It gives people the chance to express themselves more freely, even when the activities are school related. Those who enjoy writing and photography may leave their mark in the yearbook or newspaper. Those who excel in leadership may belong to FBLA, while students who enjoy serving the less fortunate and leaving a more personal expression could help through LaSallian Youth Group. No matter what particular interests one may hold, there is something at CBA for everyone.
Athletics are important to the Brothers. CBA is well known in CNY as one of the more competitive schools. Whether it be soccer, football, or baseball, the Academy’s talent will strive and overcome the obstacles faced. Variousteams last year won sectionals, and we are looking forward to an even stronger outcome this year.
Outside of the Academy, students participate in numerous activities. Many have part-time jobs to earn extra cash, and still find time to partake in pleasurable events such as movies and parties. As you can clearly see, there is much more to the lives of CBA students than dedicated study habits.
