'a New Millennium
The Moving Finger writes;
and, having writ,
Moves on:
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
What will the story of your life tell when the writing is over? What will the story of the next millennium be? We dedicate this yearbook to the stories of our lives, the story of the past one thousand years, and the story, yet unwritten, of the millennia to come.
One recent poll suggested that the most influential person of the past thousand years was a German named Johannes Gutenberg, inven tor of the printing press. That one innovation, said those interviewed, did more to change our world than any other thought or invention since the year 1000. Not coincidentally, Mr Gutenberg’s invention is what enables us to share our memories, in both words and pictures, of the year
just past here at CBA.
What will the next thousand years bring? Which people will
change the world of 2001 to 3000, like Gutenberg did ours? Only time will answer these questions. What is assured is the fact that each of us has our own story to tell, and the Moving Finger continues its narrative. Only you can decide what our story will be. Tell it with grace.
