As seniors, there were decisions to
be made every day. One of the most
important issues a senior faces is the
age-old question, "What do you want to
do when you grow up?” There was no
doubt that the answer to this differed
among each and every student. The
only way to ensure that a person was
satisfied with the career he or she
chose was to carefully look at the fac
tors that influenced this choice.
Obviously, the first thing to take into
consideration was an individual’s inter
ests. If a person was not interested in a
topic, that person would not be com
fortable with a career in that field. It
was most difficult to discover what a
person’s interests were. In fact, most
people had a clear idea early on in their
lives. It is usually a wise idea to chose a
field that is related to something that
interested a person. Not only would the
job be more enjoyable, but it would be
easier for a person to do well at it, than
at a job that the person did not like or
care about.
