7th Graders Ride the Bus
For most people, the day began
when they woke up. But not for the
Seventh Graders. For them, getting
on the bus marked the beginning of
the new day. It also started the road
to another long day of school.
Seventh Graders did a variety of
things on the bus. One of them was
catching up on the previous day's
gossip. They talked about the usual
things, including who's going out
with whom, who broke up with
whom, who's fighting with etc., etc.,
. . . What a way to begin the morning!
Another thing Seventh Graders did
on the bus was rush to finish up
homework and/or study for tests.
This happened only when they had
forgotten to do their work, or when
they didn't have enough time to fin
ish it the night before. Others, how
ever, felt that going over yesterday's
material was the best way to get their
brains working.
But who could forget their favorite
activity? It was pestering people. Of
course, it was all done in good fun.
It was a way to tell people that they
liked each other.
Even though some Seventh Grad
ers would mellow out in the bus,
others would soon shake them out
of it. The Seventh Graders were full
of fun, and willing to include others
in it. The morning bus rides were, in
short, a way for them to let anxieties
out before school began, and a way
to become closer to each other.
The Junior High is very supportive of each
other. Here the cheerleaders show us their
"stuff".
It must be the morning of test day. Amy
Kawa shows the stress as she prepares to face
the day.
