The CBA Way Is Alive And Well
In the 1990-91 school year, the High School Student Senate had three goals: First, to serve as the mouthpiece to the administration as to what the students wanted. Secondly, they wanted to voice to the student body what the ad ministration wanted. Lastly, and most importantly, the Student Senate wanted to be considered hard working.

The Junior High Student Sen ate was highly active and enthu siastic throughout the year. They tried to have one event every month, or every two weeks if possible. Besides planning danc es and instituting a suggestion box, the JH Student Senate held a patriotic day in support of the troops in the Persian Gulf. They
made a banner that was sent to the “Boys from Syracuse”, the 174th Tactical Fighter Wing sta tioned in Saudi Arabia. Other creative plans included selling lollipops for Valentine’s day and planning three dances in the sec ond semester.
The JH Student Senate was co-advised by Mrs. Wleklinski and Mrs. Irwin. Both were en thusiastic about the kids’ work. Mrs. Wleklinski stated, “All ideas are from the students themselves.”
