At CBA, two of the less com­ monly joined organizations were the National Honor Society and the Future Business Leaders of America, mainly because to be a member of the NHS one had to be nominated according to the grade averages of the first five semesters of high school, and be­ cause the FBLA did not get as much publicity as other activities did.

In the 1990-91 school year, with the advise of Mr. Manning, the Na­ tional Honor Society held a canned food drive at Thanksgiv­ ing time, a clothing drive in De­ cember, and a blood drive in the Spring.
The Future Business Leaders
of America strove to teach stu­ dents about the business world. Concepts, ideas, and views were discussed in an open atmos­ phere. The organization was headed by Brother Gabriel, who also taught Accounting and Business. Although the FBLA did not attend tournaments and compete like other activities, it met occasionally to make its members more aware of the hap­ penings of the business world.
