Rome Catholic, yet bounced back to make the Sectional
playoffs, where they saw a close match against New
Hartford end hopes for a Sectional crown.
The strong point of the team was a potent offensive
attack led by Senior Captain, Marty Griffin and bruising
Senior, Mike Schilling, which kept the Brothers in every
game. Backing the offense was an extremely physical
defense anchored by Junior Kevin Burdick and Senior
Don McClure. The final line of defense was the goalies,
Jason Klein and Steve Ellis.
Since they have returned to their prominent position in
Central New York hockey, and with nine returning Juniors
including Kevin Burdick, Pete Taylor, and Jason Klein, the
Brothers should once again be recognized as a force on
the ice.
