deadlines, extreme procrastination, and chaotic and often
unattended meetings of the entire staff. Unexpected prob
lems such as the misplacing of pictures, articles, and
layouts also took their toll on the staff. Fundraisers during
the year such as a raffle and a car wash, provided a
needed escape from the pressures facing them, as well as
helping the financial situation of the book.
In the end, the resourcefulness and ingenuity of the
Yearbook staff and its moderator. Brother Richard Gray
was victorious over all problems. Layout Editor Andy Nye
and Associate Editor Shannon Curley managed to bal
ance both Yearbook and a basketball without dropping
either. Copy Editor Mark Planeta travelled the great dis
tance from North Syracuse with ease. Assistant Editors
Dave DeLorenzo, Sean Flanagan, and Lewis Kapell,
provided a calm assist at crucial moments.
Expectations are high that the yearbook will equal, and
hopefully surpass the accomplishments of last year’s
book, which received a first place rating from the Empire
States Scholastic Press Association.
