P. 92

Powered by eleven talented musicians, the CBA band
displayed a lot of pizzaz. This year’s band, directed by Mr.
Rotunno was faced with a serious shortage of musicians.
The band was forced to change from the big-band sound
to the school pep mode. During rehearsals which were
scattered throughout the year, the band made prepara
tions for the formation of a pep band which should make
its premier, by cheering the Brothers’ athletic teams to
victory next year.
Significant contributions to the formation of the
band were made by trumpet players John Ryan and Mi
Sgarlata saxophone players Dan Ragonese, Pat S g ^ lata and tenor saxophone player Steve Lomber; Clan players Jerry Mingolelli and Tim Wasserman: troi bone players Bill Haiczyn and John Sullivan; and bi tone horn player Marc Bernstein.
Ah one, and ah two. Mr. Rotunno directs the band with precision.
