Girls’ Volleyball
The CBA varsity girls' volleyball team surprised the com
munity with a final 1996 record season of 9-12. After re
covering from their disappointing 1995 season of 0-17, the
girls attribute much of their team success to their dedicated
coach, Mr. Greg Jewett. The team, under the guidance
of captain Michelle Easterly, made sectionals for the first
time in CBA history. The girls' beat league-leading Hannibal
twice, as well as defeating many other top teams. Despite
the loss of three seniors. Heather Hopkins, Andrea Gremels,
and Sarah Vrabel, the returning team is looking forward to
a promising 1997 season.
