Homeroom
Homeroom is a time for students to relax, although
some take the thirty minutes to work on homework,
study for tests and quizzes, and even talk to friends.
Still some prefer to catch up on sleep, or use this time
for thought. Homeroom, I find, is a great place to
catch up on all of the gossip floating the halls of CBA!
I think that homeroom has some positive, as well
as, negative effects. Students enjoy this time be
cause, essentially, it is our own free time to do with
as we please. Channel 1 is available to those who
want to watch it. However, there is a negative side
to homeroom, as well. In some of the stricter envi
ronments, most students are unable to talk with one
another, or to leave their homeroom. Lab class and
many extracurricular activity meetings now take
place during homeroom.
Overall, I do not think that homeroom is that bad,
and I think that it provides an excellent start to our
day. We all have our own way of spending time in
homeroom, and we can use those thirty minutes in
any way that we choose. Personally, I enjoy catch
ing up on the gossip!!
