Literary Potpourri
Writing is something we all do throughout our entire
lives. CBA provides three clubs to help develop and publish
students’ work.
First of all, there is the newest group of this nature, the
Writers’ Guild. In its second year o f existence, it has grown
Second, in its fifth year, is the CBA literary magazine.
The Underground. Moderated by Mrs. Bigelow, the magazine
exists as a way of displaying students’ artistic and creative
writing talents. The members each submit poems or draw
ings, which are then edited, professionally published, and
distributed throughout the school in the spring. The mag

dream come rrue.
Third and the largest, there is The Purple & Gold, the
school newspaper. The newspaper is disrributed throughout
the school on a monthly basis to inform students of what
is going on inside and outside of the school that is of great
interest. This year, the newspaper went through a change
of appearance, thanks to a new computet program. On top
of this, the paper’s editors-in-chief Kate Clark and Mike
Shannon did a tremendous job managing the newspaper.
In addition to the high school edition, this year, a junior
high edition was also established to give the junior high
students a chance to write articles.
Thanks to these three successful clubs, we may see the
