This year the Varsity soccer team was coached by Mr. Skip Maxwell. The team finished the season with a 8-7-1 re cord. The team had a better season than they had predict ed to have yet there were some tough matches. The team was paced by senior Timmy Carr and half-back Bri an Kopp. On the defensive side; senior center full-back Dave Goyer was excellent and Goalie Joey Marino also turned in good performances. Other standouts were Scott Shatraw (Junior-Striker), Steve Buckler (Sophomore- Halfback), and Mike Flynn (Sophomore-Fullback).
It was a disappointing year for rookie coach Andy Boha- tiuk. The team finished with a 2-10-0 record, beating only Corcoran by a score of 2 to 0 and Henniger by a score of 1 to 0. Standouts on this year’s Junior Varsity team included Mark Vetrano (Sophomore- Forward) and Mike Wood (Freshman-Fullback). Fresh man Ted Morgan led in the number of goals. We hope that they will have a better season in 1981!
