After tough going early in the year, the Cross Country team came back strong in the latter part of the season with impressive showings at Van Cort land Park by the Varsity, J.V., and Freshman teams.
Basically, 1980 was a year for rebuilding, with Ju niors occupying at least two of the Varsity spots at
every meet. Along with the many fine performances by the Varsity, the J.V. and Freshman squads also turned in impressive records, promising many talent ed harriers for coming years.
With these fine prospects, it seems that Riordan’s Raiders are destined to regain the Section III crown.
