TRUE BLUE... The EYES Have It
There is a saying that ‘faithful are the wounds of a friend’. It is no wonder that the TRUE BLUE friendship has seen less and less days of wine and roses. There seems to be apathy as it pertains to the genuine concern of one another and of others in our society as well. With the transition from personal and interpersonal relationships to more networking, hanging out, hooking up, and meet up relationships, there has been a shift on all fronts of love, friendship, and the longevity of both.

I’ve seen people air dirty laundry of friends, relatives, and significant others on FACEBOOK and Twitter as if they are private memorandums. There is a sadness among people as the “like” feature has become their measure of greatness and worthiness in so many areas of their lives. Since people are doing more of EVERYTHING over the internet including but not limited to; having conversations, meeting new people, having relationships, paying bills, shopping, and entertaining themselves, there is almost little to no time to engage in much more than speaking and/or having a disagreement by phone or through social media. Even the good old-fashioned way of arguing and making up has lost its way from our lives. In fact, it is through some of the toughest arguments that the greatest relationships have been formed and also destroyed. In either case, the HUMAN factor of face-to-face is something that is irreplaceable and no verbal chat, audio messenger, or even face time exchange could ever replace the vibration felt and the truth that is always revealed through the windows of the soul.... the eyes have it!
