BEAUTY TIPS By Darecia Pryce

The season's beauty vampires - biting winds, steamy showers, dipping temperatures, and drying indoor heat - can suck the life right out of your skin and hair. Luckily, we have easy advice for soothing your thirstiest parts, from head to foot.
Dull Complexion
Dehydrated skin cells turn over more slowly, causing a buildup of dead skin, which hinders light reflection. Circulation also gets sluggish - and just like that, your glow is gone and fine lines
look more pronounced.
Soothing Solution: Hydration! This is necessary whether your skin is oily or not. Since the weather is cold and the air is dry, you have to keep your skin moisturized. Look for products that contain Hyaluronic Acid. This ingredient is a vitamin found in most moisturizers that help boost your moisture and help heal wounds.
Lackluster Hair
If we were to personify winter worn hair, we would probably describe it as dullard depressing. Plus, dry hair side effects such as static cling and split en do make hair hard to manage.
Soothing Solution: Conditioner! Use products that are sulfate free.
For example, a product called Ojan by Sephora is a great product. This product isarestorativetreatment. Itbasicallyisacompilationofoilsandithelpsto hydrate the hair and keep it shiny. Usually used before you wash your hair (pre- wash). It is suggested you apply to your dry hair, comb it through and leave it in for approximately 20 minutes. For a deeper treatment, leave product in overnight. Helps with brittle, fly away or damaged hair.

Dry, Itchy Scalp
White flakes falling from a December sky: glorious. White flakes from a dry scalp: gross. Itching and flakes are symptoms of dandruff and dry scalp.

Soothing Solution: Oil! Tea Tree Oil. Massage it into the scalp daily. This ingredient can be found in many products and certain shampoos and

conditioners. Also a good suggestion is to use the oil version.
