More and more these days it seems as if women are finding it necessary to pop the question to their mates.Now don’t get me wrong, while I do believe that women have historically been in the business of assisting men with their “slowness to propose” ailment, I believe that things have taken a turn for the crazy and we are completely out of control. Am I the only one who has a problem with women getting on bended knee, spending money for these elaborate events and presentations, and investing in wedding bands just to propose to the men in their lives in the hopes of being married to them forever?
Call me crazy, but I have never known a man who didn’t know who made his heart race, who gave him bu;erflies in his stomach, who he was willing to pull out all the stops for and wait for, who he wanted to pursue and commit to him, and whom he wanted to marry... So why is it all of a sudden women have to help ‘push’ him in the right direcBon? NOT. H I

To me we have become a society that is completely desensitized to things of merit and importance; and as a result we are perpetuating an entire culture and generation of young people who know little about tradition and the merits of conservative values. Let’s face it, the pursuit of capitalistic focused happiness seems to be taking over as women and men experience constant role reversals in responsibilities, stature, and even newly erected societal norms. In either case there is something to be said for once was, and although soon to become a distance memory, I can’t help but feel that not only are women selling themselves short, but some of the men in accepting these “markdowns” if you will, are coming up short in order to meet them half way.
