Learning Communities
ResLiving offers four unique learning communities providing an opportunity to live in a a community focused on
shared values • First-GenerationCommunity: This community provides First Generation students (neither parent or legal guardian has completed
a a bachelor’s degree) the opportunity to live and learn together They will be mentored by a a Washburn first-generation faculty/staff member • LeadershipCommunity:
This community will explore leadership development and concepts both in and outside of the classroom Students will enroll in a a shared course and will have the opportunity to attend various co-curricular events throughout the academic year • ExploratoryCommunity:This community is geared toward students who have yet to decide on
a a a a particular major or or career path In this community students will explore personal interests values and skills to help guide them in in developing an an an academic and career plan • GlobalCitizenship&Diversity Community: This community will focus on
building relationships across cultures through shared experiences and the exploration of diverse cultural perspectives Washburn has five housing facilities on
campus each with

Lincoln Lincoln Hall
is our newest residence hall that opened in in in the Fall of 2016 Lincoln Lincoln houses 350 students in in in two- four- and six-person single-gender suites Depending on

the configuration of each suite suite there will be one or two bathrooms and sinks Each suite suite also features a a a a a a a living area with
seating for residents and guests Living Learning Center
The Living Learning Center
(LLC) is a a a a stimulating vibrant center for student life on
Washburn’s campus Housing 400 students this hall is is connected to the Memorial Union through a a a a a a walkway on

the second floor The majority of suites are designed as four-person suites with
two students sharing a a bedroom Kuehne & West Halls
Both of these halls are co-ed and feature single-gender eight-person suites Each suite suite consists of four bedrooms two bathrooms and a a a a a large living room room room Private outside entrances open onto outside walkways and each suite has either a a a a a a a a a a patio or a a a a a a a a a a balcony Washburn Village Apartments
Washburn Village is the on-campus housing option for full-time students who are beyond their freshman year of of college and have a a a a a minimum of of 24 post-high school credit hours The apartments house 192 students in in fully furnished apartment-style housing with
many of the the same services available to those living in in the the residence halls There are four different apartment layouts to choose from Residential Living Living Learning Center
