PRETTY IN PINK STRAWBERRY CUPCAKES

My daughters both went through a pink cake stage, from kindergarten through
second grade, when the only cake they wanted for their birthdays was
strawberry. It helped that they had spring and early summer birthdays, because
the local strawberries were in season. I was sad when that phase ended—there is
something dazzling about a pink cake. (But in case you’re wondering, the pink
stage was followed by a white cake stage. Now they’re both into chocolate.)
Here are moist and fresh strawberry cupcakes, just right for a birthday sleepover,
or any time the occasion calls for pink.
