School Communication

                 COMMUNICATION:  The objective of our school communication plan is to guarantee
                 that each child’s family is made to feel welcome in our school and in his/her classroom and
                 that parents are kept informed about student progress and behavior.


                 PARENT COMMUNICATION: Our school goal is to contact each parent at least 8
                 times during the school year.  If a child is absent for three consecutive days with no parent
                 contact, the teacher should attempt and document contact, and then share this information
                 with the attendance secretary and administration via email.  At least once a week, teachers
                 are to telephone or email parents of students who are improving in any subject.  You may
                 also contact parents by mail and/or send happy grams, letters, notes, social media, or
                 other written communication.  This should be documented on the Communication Log.  A
                 copy of any group letters or notices to parents should be submitted to the principal before
                 the letter is sent home.  This keeps the administration informed of class news and events.
                 Please check the calendar to see the dates that the Parent Communication Notebooks are
                 turned in to the administration.
