Jeff Gibson (far left), Automotive
Technology instructor at Daniel
Morgan Technology Center,
participated in the Ford Secondary
Recruitment Seminar/Webinar at
Spartanburg Community College. Ford
is in the process of planning a pilot
program called: Automotive Career
Exploration (ACE). The ACE program
will be a partnership between Ford and
area high school automotive programs
across the US.
To reflect the personal nature of their
Cowpens Elementary School
writing, third graders at Cowpens
Elementary School decorated their
writer’s notebooks by completing a
“Me” collage. They added pictures,
words and items that were special to
each of them.
Third graders at Cowpens Elementary
School observed and recorded the
properties of seven different liquids. They
used their senses of sight, touch and smell
to determine clarity, thickness and
fluidity. Students then ordered each of the
liquids based on those qualities and
identified a mystery liquid.
Cowpens Elementary School 5K students
illustrated books they authored. To complete
the project, students will share their work with
their classmates.
Cowpens Elementary School second
graders, Cymiah Brannon and Trevor
Bishop, created portraits of themselves
to accompany their autobiographies.
