BHS continued Broome High School’s AFJROTC Academic
Team was one of eight South Carolina Units
advancing to Level II of the 2017-18
AFJROTC Academic Bowl. A record 327
teams participated in Level I with 175 Units
advancing to Level II, which will be held in
February. Only 16 AFJROTC teams will
advance to Level III of the competition in
Washington, DC.
The Broome High School tennis team
visited, sang Christmas carols, and
took gifts to residents in the memory
care unit of Eden Terrace. It was a
sweet experience for residents and
the students!
Broome High School athletics recognized 110 student athletes for Academic and Athletic
Excellence at the recent fall athletic banquet. To qualify, a student athlete had to have a
cumulative grade of 3.5 or above and no grade below a C. Recognized were: JV Football:
Drew Alfred, Shane Blackwood, Adam Comer, Drew Deaton, Tyler Fleming, Keyshawn
Foster, Kane Lee, Markus Lindsay, KJ Morgan, Nasir Thomas, and Noah Thompson. Varsity
Football: Connor Bridges, Jysaiah Cromer, Eddie Drake, Kwame Fernanders, Noah Fowler,
Andrew Greene, Tres Hatchell, Luke Henderson, Brantley Hewitt, Josh Inman, Jarius Jeter,
Kevin Johnson, Jeb Lawson, Jesse Lee, CJ Littlejohn, Josh Mabry, KC Petty, Austin
Smalley, Josh Smith, Brenden Taylor, Dylan Threadgill, Gray Williams, Owen Wilson, Silas
