Spartanburg District Three announces Teacher of the Year
Tim Page, culinary arts teacher at Daniel Morgan Technology
Center (DMTC), is Spartanburg School District Three’s 2018-
2019 Teacher of the Year. The announcement was mad at the
2018-2019 school year’s opening Convocation. Page has
thirteen years of experience as an educator with DMTC.
He attended Clemson University and earned an Associate of
Arts degree from Greenville Technical College. Page will
represent Spartanburg School District Three in the State
Teacher of the Year competition.
District Three’s Teacher of the Year selections by school
include:
Cannons Elementary School – Nicole Myers teaches art for four year kindergarten
students through fifth grade. She has seventeen years of teaching experience.
Clifdale Elementary School – Tonya McCullough is a third grade teacher. She has taught
for four years, the last three at Clifdale.
Cowpens Elementary School – Melanie Moore teaches kindergarten. She has eight years
of experience in teaching.
Pacolet Elementary School – Lori Hefner teaches four year kindergarten. She has nine
years total teaching experience.
Cowpens Middle School – June Spencer teachers sixth and eighth grade social studies.
She has twelve years of teaching experience.
Middle School of Pacolet – Tracy Taylor teaches sixth and seventh grade science. She
has eleven years of teaching experience.
Broome High School – Lindsay Knox teaches Spanish. She has twelve years of

The following Board members were recognized.
Billy Gossett and Chris Jolley – achieved Level Two in
Board member and leadership team training through
the South Carolina School Boards Association.
Ami Odom and Deion Logan – achieved Level One in
Board member and leadership team training through
the South Carolina School Boards Association.
