In Q3 there was thirteen reported staff incidents related to patient mobilization.
This trend indicates that the target of less than 51 incidents will not be achieved.
Training has occurred on safe mobilization for clinical assistants and registered
nurses on one surgical unit. Between January and March 2018, 72 new ceiling
lifts will be installed on the General Internal Medicine unit and will provide a
safer mechanism to mobilize patients and therefore reduce staff injuries.
