QUALITY OF LIFE
San Antonio, also known as the Alamo City, is the seventh
largest city in the U.S., covering 506 square miles, in
South Central Texas. The city is located in Bexar County
(pronounced BEAR), and is part of Metropolitan Statistical
Area (MSA) comprised of five counties - Bexar, Comal,
Guadalupe, Kendall, and Wilson - with a total population
of just over 2 million.
San Antonio has a unique position, centrally located between the east and west coast and convenient
to other cities across the United States, Mexico, Canada, Central America, and South America. The San
Antonio economy is anchored by several key industries: healthcare, biotechnology, tourism and the
military. The city truly provides “the good life” for both families and businesses with an attractive, affordable
lifestyle. Families find it easier to buy a home in San Antonio than in many other cities across the country.
