Why I like to create Children’s books
Children’s book writers are freer to use more sophisticated and colorful
language because the illustrations also help to tell the story.
Through Children’s book, children explore new cultures, learn about art,
develop social skills by learning about how characters handle certain situations,
and begin to understand their place in the world.
Children’s books create human connection. Because they are meant to be read
aloud, and read together, picture books offer parents the opportunity to
discuss what they’re reading with their child. There is interaction between
adult and child. That is so unique and special to the Children’s book experience.
As we get older, reading becomes a solitary adventure. We close off the world
by escaping into a book. But reading pictures books provides a time for
togetherness between adult and child.
Last but not least, for me by creating children’s books or picture books, it will
be the best storyboard for my development of idea in the future maybe 10-20
years from now. Because it can be animation, short-film or even a movie as I
used to be an animator. The most inspired me to create children’s books are
