1 Use a mirror to draw lines of symmetry on each of the shapes opposite.
Record the number of lines of symmetry in the table below.
2 Cut out each shape. How many different ways will each fit into its outline on page 29 if only
turning is allowed? Record in the table under 'order of rotational symmetry'. Remember.

3 Now record all the different ways in which each shape fits into its outline. You can both
turn and flip over.
