Ecuador is a Latin American country, characterized by its culture. Ecuadorian culture is recognized by

three different aspects. For example, its food, its celebrations, and its family.

First, one of the most important aspects of Ecuadorian cultures is the food. Ecuador is divided into four
regions and each region has their own typical food. For example, in the Coast region the typical food

comes from the sea. In the Sierra region, the most popular dish is the “Fritada”. Amazon region is famous

for its strange food; one example is the “Chontacuros”. In addition, the last region is Galápagos, which is
an island and it is famous for its variety of seafood.

Second, Ecuador has different celebrations, but the most famous around the world is the “Inti Raymi”. It is
organized by indigenous people and they celebrate it by making colorful parades. Ecuadorian families are

unique because of their own identity, religion and costumes.
There are different types of families like the traditional family composed by four members or a big family

composed by more than ten members. Each family celebrates their traditions in their own way.

As a conclusion, Ecuador is a Latin American country characterized for its diversity of culture and
traditions, but these different aspects are the base of its identity.
