• Dr. S.D. Selematsela was invited as Keynote Speaker to the International Conference on Knowledge and Innovation Management (ICKIM) held at Babcock University in Nigeria from 14 to 18 January 2019.
• Mrs S. van der Walt was invited by the North West Department of Arts, Culture, Sports and Recreation to address the North West Public Librarians on using social media in public libraries on 28 February 2019. • Ms D. Snyman delivered a paper at the SANLiC 2019 Pre-Conference Workshop on “Managing the e-resources life-cycle: Spinning wheel or moving forward?”
• Mr M. Macanda and Dr D Selematsela attended and co-presented a conference paper on “Unisa’s research data management: A case study” at CODATA 2019. Held in Beijing, from 19 – 20 September 2019, the theme of the Conference was Towards next-generation data-driven science: Policies, practices and platforms. • Mr M. Makaba attended the eResearch Africa 2019 conference. He was part of the Steering Committee of Network of Data and Information Curation Communities (NeDICC) which organized the Research Data Management workshop attached to the conference.
