These bylaws may be amended at a regular meeting by a two-thirds vote
of the votes cast, provided the proposed amendment was submitted in
writing at the previous regular business meeting.

ARTICLE XIV: EFFECTIVE DATE

Amendments to these bylaws shall take effect immediately following the
adjournment of the meeting at which they were adopted.

ARTICLE XV: PARLIAMENTARY AUTHORITY

Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter shall be governed by the current edition
of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, in all matters not provided for
in these bylaws or in the Constitution and Bylaws of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Incorporated.

ARTICLE XVI: DISSOLUTION

Upon dissolution of the chapter, its assets shall be distributed for one or
more exempt purposes within the meaning of Sec 501(c) (7) of the Internal
Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code,
or for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Sec 501(c) (3)
of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future
federal tax code, or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a
state or local government, or a public purpose.
