                                      Live/work units
                                      Monasteries
                                      Motels (non-transient)

                                      Vacation time share properties

                       R-3 – These are permanent residences that do not contain more than 2
                       dwelling units (a single-family home). Congregant living facilities that may be

                       classified under group R-2, but that house 16 or fewer occupants may follow
                       the Group R restrictions found in the Florida Building Code under R-3.
                       Similarly, adult and child care facilities that house fewer than five persons for
                       less than 24 hours may be classified here instead of under Group I. This
                       includes:

                               Buildings that do not contain more than 2 dwelling units
                               Boarding houses (nontransient) with 16 or fewer occupants
                               Boarding houses (transient) with 10 or fewer occupants

                               Care facilities that provide accommodations for 5 or fewer persons
                              receiving care
                               Congregate care living facilities (nontransient) with 16 or fewer

                              occupants
                               Congregate care living facilities (transient) with 10 or fewer occupants


                       R-4 – Buildings that are arranged for occupancy as residential care/assisted
                       living facilities with less than 16 residents (excluding staff), but more than five
                       are classified as R-4. These structures will meet the code requirements for R-
