Key considerations for choosing
the right system
With so many different vision inspection systems to choose from, selecting
the right one can be confusing. And, if you purchase the wrong one, it can be
costly and damaging to your business.
To help, we’ve created a key considerations checklist
1. Detail all the relative industry and retailer COPs – and ensure the machine helps you
meet them.
2. Conduct a gap analysis on your current compliance process and identify issues you have
that need to be solved.
3. Consider the machine’s optical character recognition (OCR) abilities. Can it read important
data, date codes, use/sell by dates and country of origin information?
4. Distinguish what features you need the system to include. For example, at Sparc we can

5. Speak to an established manufacturer or industry representative to get their advice.
