We are honored to recognize Antioch Lutheran Church – Farmington Hills as the newest member of the Samaritas
Cornerstone Honor Roll. The Samaritas Cornerstone Honor Roll recognizes congregations who entrust remaining
proceeds at the time that they cease their active ministries into the ministries and Mission of Samaritas.
In May 2023, as part of Antioch's dissolution, the congregation voted to gift Samaritas $46,600. Samaritas received
the funds in March 2025 and was approved to use $25,000 for a matching grant to support the URGENT Refugee
Crisis Campaign. This initiative helped 430 refugees who lost their promised federal support due to an Executive
Order earlier this year. The remaining funds were allocated to areas of greatest need.
Samaritas is profoundly thankful for the alignment of our missions, both dedicated to embodying Christ's teachings
through compassionate service and steadfast support for those in need. Antioch Lutheran Church – Farmington Hills
focused on fostering a welcoming and inclusive community, adhering to Jesus's commandment to "Love your
neighbor as yourself." Their generous contribution is making a significant impact on the lives of those we serve, and
we are deeply appreciative of this ultimate partnership gift.
