About Memory Care
When our loved ones are struggling with memory loss due to Alzheimer’s, dementia
or cognitive impairments, they are in need of a special kind of care – patient, loving,
reassuring. Our memory care meets the unique needs of those facing memory loss, as
well as helping their families and loved ones cope with the changes.
Our goal is to give residents the support they need to continue living life with a sense
of independence, productivity and self-worth. Memory loss is a delicate journey to
navigate, let Samaritas Senior Living be your guide.
Our memory care program:
• Focuses on the whole person, not the disease. The whole person approach seeks
to understand each individual’s history, needs, personality, faith and values.
• Strives for person centered care. It is essential for those with memory loss to
have opportunities to make their own choices, to derive purpose and to have
meaningful interactions and activities each day.
• Highlights remaining abilities. We strive to maintain the strengths and abilities
for residents, focusing on their unique God-given abilities.
• Has a spiritual focus. Being a part of the Samaritas campus-life means we
encourage you to participate in our faith community and express personal
spirituality in meaningful ways for persons with memory loss.
