ILPP
Canada
The International Liaison of Pathology Presidents (ILPP) is the collective of Pathology Colleges
and Associations in America, UK, Ireland, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Africa. ILPP Presidents, Presidents Elect/Vice-Presidents and CEO’s meet annually to discuss issues of professional practice, education, quality, accreditation and promotion. ILPP 2017 was hosted by the Canadian Association of Pathologists on Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown, Canada. The College also attended the CAP-ACP
annual meeting with the theme on Developing Strategies for a Sustainable Career in Pathology. 2009 the RCPA has been the Secretariat for the ILPP.

The inaugural conference was well attended and delegates found it
very informative. The conference was opened by Prof Rosemarie Einstein who paid tribute to her late husband, Prof Graham Starmer from the Pharmacology Department of the University of Sydney, whose research and knowledge in traf c medicine contributed to the fall of the road toll in NSW.
