I have long had a bee in my bonnet about promoting our game. Not on the rubbish sur-
faces that were used by the Bowls Development Agency but on reasonable floors that showed
our game as it should be played. I am not just talking about England but also other Nations
and in particular the World Council, who have never appeared to promote our sport outside
the UK let alone inside the UK.
I suppose in the end the problem would be money as I feel that most associations would
not chip in some of their members’ money - god forbid! even though it is in everyone’s long
term interest. Here’s how they do it in Singapore. It won’t be easy for us but we don’t even
talk about it, let alone try it on a bigger scale!
