Founded as Women’s Hospital in 1914; Renamed McLaren General Hospital in 1951. Renamed McLaren Regional Medical Center in 1990 as part of new McLaren Health Care (MHC).

Founded as Visiting Nurse Association in 1904.
McLaren Lapeer Region

Founded as Lapeer County General Hospital in 1954.

Originally named McLaren Medical Management, Inc.
McLaren Greater Lansing (referred to as Greenlawn Campus) and McLaren Orthopedic Hospital (referred to as Penn or Pennsylvania Campus)

Originally two separate hospitals: Ingham County Tuberculosis Sanitarium (1911) (renamed Ingham Chest Hospital in 1954, Ingham Medical Hospital in 1960 and Ingham Medical Center in 1974) and Lansing General Hospital (1937). Merged to form Michigan Capital Healthcare System, Inc. in 1992.

Originally four separate hospitals: Mercy Hospital (1899), Samaritan Hospital (1910), Bay City General Hospital (1920’s) and Bay Osteopathic Hospital (1950’s). Mercy and General merged to form Bay Medical Center in 1972 with Samaritan joining in 1979 and BOH in 1988.

Founded as Central Michigan Community Hospital in 1943.
McLaren Northern Michigan

Originally two separate hospitals: Lockwood Hospital (1902) (renamed Lockwood General Hospital in 1937 and Lockwood- MacDonald Hospital in 1965) and Petoskey Hospital (1909) (replaced by Little Traverse Hospital in 1939). Lockwood- MacDonald and Little Traverse Hospitals merged to form Northern Michigan Hospital in 1977.

Founded as Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in 1942.
Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute
2013
Founded as Detroit Institute for Cancer Research in 1943. Became the Michigan Cancer Foundation in 1966. Renamed the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in 1995.
