It occured yesterday late at night, I had just arrived to what now I call my home or, as the rest of the world knows it: New York City North Hospital. I was sitting in my mother's consulting room with my hair still wet (Why was it? I still can’t remember) and a really light hospital robe which made me feel almost naked. I looked around and could not feel anything else but pain: The chairs, the weird posters that exhibited “happy patients”, the stereo that was playing Ebony and Ivory and even the white walls reminded me that something was not right. We all know That people are the same wherever you go There is good and bad in everyone When we learn to live, we learn to give each other What we need to survive Together alive Stevie Wonder kept singing while I looked at my arm with a deep desire to cry: I was broken. I turned to look into the stereo. We all know That people are the same wherever you go There is good and bad, mmm, in everyone We learn to live when we learn to give each other What we need to survive Together alive “Leo, for God's sake. Are you okay?” She said to me in a weird yet reassuring fashion. “I’m not sure mom” I responded, as I began crying.
