1. Statistics on Number of Individuals Assisted and Type of Assistance

• 158 individuals assisted in March, April and May 2019

Type of assistance:

• 122 - ongoing case management
• 7 - Information given about services and/or community resources
• 9 - referred for individual therapy
• 16 - referred for an evaluation
• 2 – formal intervention
• 2 - referred for treatment

Approximately 16 of these cases are straight Mental Health cases and 100 are comorbid
(include both Mental Health and Substance Use components).

Speaking Engagements of JLAP Staff Members and Associated Costs

• Buddy Stockwell participated in the LSBA’s C&F Panel at Tulane University School of Law
in March 2019. Expense: $47.08 (mileage and toll).

• Buddy Stockwell spoke to Skip Phillips’ LSU Law Class in March 2019 and Buddy
Stockwell participated in the LSBA’s C&F Panel at LSU Law Center in March 2019.
Combined expense: $91.06 (mileage).

• Buddy Stockwell presented at the 14 Annual Camp TLAP in April 2019. Expenses were
th
$941.56 (air-travel, mileage to airport, toll, meal). TLAP reimbursed $719.94 of that. Net
expense to JLAP was $221.62.

• Buddy Stockwell presented at the LSBA’s 2019 Solo, Small Firm and Tech Conference in
April 2019. Expense: $124.96 (mileage, toll, lunch, parking) LSBA Reimbursed: $59.18.
Net expense to JLAP was $65.78.

• Buddy Stockwell participated in the LSBA’s C&F Panel at Southern University Law Center
April 2019. Expense: $102.08 (mileage).
