Keenan K. Kelly
Member, House of Delegates Liaison Committee
Keenan K. Kelly has practiced in the Natchitoches
firm of Kelly & Townsend, LLC, for 27 years. His pri-
mary practice areas are personal injury and criminal de-
fense. He is licensed to practice law in both Louisiana
and Texas and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District
Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Louisi-
ana and the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Keenan attended Fort Lewis College from 1984-86 Keenan K. Kelly
(where he played football) but returned to Northwestern
State University to complete his undergraduate degree
in 1990. He earned his JD degree in 1993 from Loyola
University College of Law. While attending law school,
he clerked for the New Orleans law firm of Martzell &
Bickford.
He is a current member of the Louisiana State Bar
Association’s (LSBA) Nominating Committee and
is beginning his first year of a three-year term on the
LSBA’s House of Delegates Liaison Committee. He
has served in the House of Delegates, representing the
10th Judicial District, since 2002. He has served on the
LSBA’s Legislation Committee for several years and
chaired that committee from 2015-20.
Keenan has served as the vice president of the
Natchitoches Parish Bar Association since 1996. He is
married to Jennifer Anderson Kelly and has two chil-
dren.
