Barnes Field House now closes at 8 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Eifler Fitness Center closes at 8 p.m.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
Army Substance Abuse Program personnel will
hold Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 5-6 and Sept. 16-17
at the ASAP office, Building 22414, 434 Christy Ave.
ASIST is for everyone in the Fort Huachuca Com-
munity 18 or older — regardless of prior experience
— who wants to be able to provide suicide first aid.
ASIST is a two-day (15 hour) Interactive Suicide Pre-
vention workshop. There are no prerequisites for the
training. Uniform is appropriate civilian attire.
Registration is required. Attendance by Soldiers and
Department of the Army Civilians will satisfy their an-
nual suicide prevention training requirement.

Vacation Bible School at Main Post Chapel
Vacation Bible School for the Fort Huachuca Com-
munity will take place 9 a.m.-noon July 13-17 daily at
the Main Post Chapel for children who have completed
kindergarten through fifth grade.
Childcare for children 6 months to 5 years is avail-
able for volunteers.

Training on new NCOER planned
Training on the new non-commissioned evaluation
report that takes effect Oct. 1 will take place 8 a.m.-
noon and 1-5 p.m. July 15, Aug. 5 and 26 in Cochise

Suicide Prevention Training offered
ACE (Ask, Care, Escort) training is offered at 9:30
a.m. every Wednesday at Murr Community Center.
This 90-minute class is required annually for all Sol-
diers and DOD and Non-appropriated Fund Civilians,
but is open to all. Learn the ACE process along with
risk factors, protective factors, warning signs and re-
sources to help someone who is contemplating sui-
cide. Family members and Army contractors are also
